Quilted Tote Bag #6
This listing is for a one of a kind quilted tote bag.
I love playing around on my long arm, filling up every inch of a fabric and batting with fun quilting. I do this for fun, but then I am left with a gorgeous quilted thing…what to do with it? Make it into bags!
I free motion quilted the sky blue cottonexterior with a fun array or free motion designs. I used scarlett thread. This bag is lined with colorful Kaffe Fassett cotton fabric and has a slip pocket with a pen slip. The bag is bound with black cotton twill. The straps are strong brown leather and attached with double cap rivets. This quilted bag has a layer of wool batting and a layer of cotton batting, making it soft and textured, but also lightweight. This bag is firm enough to stand on its own.
This bag can carry quite a few things including a water bottle, small laptop computer, many lip balms and of course your wallet as well as a little sewing project (or book).
*Please not that this is a handmade item so it will have some artistic characteristics that are a little different from what you will find an a big box store, but with care it should last you years to come.
