Medium Tote Bag - Blue Octopus - Painted by Emma

Hi there! Thank you so much for visiting my shop and looking around. I hope you like all the handmade products and enjoy using them as much as we enjoyed making them.

These Octopus bags are a collaboration between my daughter and myself. I quilted out the octopus with a design by Karlee Porter and then Emma painted the Octopus with fabric Dye. After the dye has set and dried, I take the next steps and either add more quilting or get the piece ready to be made into a bag. I match the octopus up with coordinating lining fabric and quilted sides. The straps are also hand painted with fabric dye and have a leather strip to reinforce the strength of the strap.

This particular bag is painted with one large octopus, it has blue flesh with a violet blush. It has rose and gold suckers. The back of the bag is an improv pieced and quilted segment of a larger quilt. It is made up of linen, hand dyed fabric and designer quilting cotton. The lining of the bag is a blue sparkle and the small slip pocket is another little pieced and quilted pocket.

I consider this a medium sized bag. I could stuff my little laptop in it, but yours may not fit. Please check the dimensions below.

Please note that all of these bags are made by hand and as such will reflect the hand of the artist. These bags are made one at a time in my smoke free studio and are each a one of a kind product.
